Adidas Football today announced the launch of its Red Limit collection with a new film with Paul Pogba. The collection features the all-new ACE 17+ PURECONTROL shoe featuring BOOST technology for the first time in adidas football history. In another first, the Red Limit collection also features a street adaptation of each silo, allowing players to perform their game at the stadium, cage or street.
The launch movie encourages aspiring young footballers to focus on creating their own path, rather than emulating their heroes. A young player's voiceover says he is not interested in mimicking the style of the professionals. He just wants their shoes, the tool to create his own style and create his own identity in the field. As said in the title of the article, the film features Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, wearing the Red Limit ACE 17+ PURECONTROL.
The Red Limit ACE 17+ PURECONTROL features a fully 360 degree PRIMEKNIT upper to ensure very low shoe wear, all protected by ultra-thin NSG (Non Stop Grip) film for ultimate grip . The PUREEC sock system is designed to eliminate overlap between the foot and the ball for optimal control, while the unique sock, which is formed by an internal locking system, provides advanced comfort.
The new ACE 17+ PURECONTROL features for the first time the BOOST technology, so dear to adidas Running. The BOOST padding is made up of thousands of unique foam beads and features along the shoe's SPRINTFRAME and sock lining. The end result returns more energy than conventional midsoles and offers unparalleled levels of comfort.
The Red Limit collection continues with the launch of the Red Limit ACE 17+ PURECONTROL Cage. Equipped with the same black and red coloring as the field silo, the cage version features a PRIMEKNIT top layer with a NSG film layer for ultimate control. An expandable layer of TECHFIT material is placed between the black and red color blocks for maximum comfort, while a red EVA strip is located above the BOOST of the heel for stability. Unlike the field shoe, the cage version features BOOST on the heel only, designed to provide comfort, stability and fuel efficiency on a hard surface, where it matters most in the football cage. The TECHFIT elastic material is also available between the forefoot and the rest of the shoe for optimum comfort and an EVA element at the heel, just above the BOOST sole for stability. Because unlike the version for grass courts, BOOST technology is only present in the heel on the Cage version, more solicited for football at 5, offering all its characteristics of comfort, stability and energy return on hard surface. The Street version of the ACE17 + PURECONTROL completes the Red Limit collection. Inspired by the street, the shoe displays a stylish black color, with touches of red.
Dean Lokes, Vice President of the adidas Football Product, said: "The Red Limit collection is the first time we've gone from stadium to street in the same collection. We have introduced a range of boots in the field, cage and street silos so you can perform as well off the field as you can on it. The introduction of adidas BOOST technology underscores our constant desire to innovate in sport and our endless training to produce shifting footwear for all types of footballers; whatever their playing surface ".
